what is a retro?

The term 'retro' itself means absolutely simple in terms of being explained in words, such as 'old', 'vintage' and etc. Moving on, retro styles are often adapted into designs on fashion, products, wallpapers and such, and especially nowadays it is being treated as one of the trends that has hit europe and asian countries.

However, not mattering whether fashion or product design, retro and vintage, although the meaning turns out to be the same, they're considered quite different. For example, retro designs are more into colourful that are known to be 'lame' towards modern days whereas vintage ones are more into brownish or such colours that actually represent the olden days just like a black and white picture.

In addition, retro designs are usually based on those which were once famous trends during 60's to 80's. And here are the examples.
